Marc Elrich has long been known as the progressive leader on the County Council. He led the fight to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. He has also led in the fight for affordable housing and on issues of women’s rights, racial justice, immigrant rights, LGBTQ Rights, and environmental sustainability.

Marc Elrich has a record of standing up to developers and is the only candidate who has never taken their money. As County Executive, he will ensure developers pay their fair share so the county can deal with overcrowded schools and traffic congestion.

Marc Elrich always stands up for his values and for residents across Montgomery County, even when other politicians won't join him, because he believes in being a strong voice for those who don’t have one.
